EMDR Therapy

I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. EMDR is a comprehensive psychotherapy approach that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. 

EMDR is one of the most evidence-based therapies in the treatment of trauma but also can be used to treat the following issues in conjunction with trauma or on their own:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Negative beliefs about self

  • Maladaptive behaviors

  • Emotional reactions out of proportion to the current context

  • Body sensations including chronic pain

  • Interpersonal relationship issues

  • Other specific events that have a negative impact
